Overview

 

Poly-West, Inc., a leading plastics manufacturer, is currently seeking highly motivated engineering interns to join our Engineering Department at our Henderson, NV plant site and corporate headquarters in a paid internship. Poly-West produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags and construction films.

 

Dedicated to providing the highest quality polyethylene products, our team of chemical, mechanical, electrical and industrial engineers are at the forefront of modern plastics technology.  We also maintain one of the most sophisticated on-site labs in the plastics industry to assist with quality and product/process improvement. Poly-West takes pride in utilizing recycled material and sustainability metrics for the better of the environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering from an accredited college
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to portray necessary information for various audiences.
  • A strong desire to follow projects and processes from conceptualization to implementation and upkeep.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • The aptitude and desire necessary to be a good student of Poly-West processes, equipment, procedures, and culture.

Responsibilities

 

Interns will be tasked with supporting engineering projects; including design work and project administration. They will also monitor the operation and maintenance of facilities systems. This internship will also support engineering and management teams by collecting, compiling and analyzing data to propose actionable recommendations. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
